So the prophet goes and marries Gomer, the daughter of Diblayim. Gomer became pregnant and gave birth to a son. The Lord said to him: You will call him Jezreel because soon, I will punish the king of Israel for the crime Jehu, his ancestor, did to Jezreel. I will take away the government from the people of Israel. That day, I will destroy all the weapons that the people of Israel had in the Valley of Jezreel.

Gomer conceived again and gave birth to a daughter. At that time, the Lord said to the prophet: You will call her Lowuchama, because I will not have mercy on the people of Israel anymore. There will be no forgiveness for them. But I will have mercy on the people of Judea. I, the Lord, their God, will deliver them. But I will not do it either with arrows or with swords, or in fighting, or with horses and riders. After Gomer weaned Lowuchama, she became pregnant again. She gave birth to a son. Then the Lord said to the prophet: You will call him Lorami, because the people of Israel are not my people anymore. Me, I am no longer their God.
